Evergreen Services arrived on site to inspect the gas-fired heating system. Testing found that the existing thermocouple was defective and was not properly sensing the pilot flame. The defective component was removed and replaced with a new thermocouple. The pilot assembly was reassembled, and the system was tested to verify proper pilot operation and burner response after replacement.

The burner assembly was removed and cleaned, and the burner ports and pilot assembly were checked for dirt or blockage. The combustion chamber and accessible heat-transfer surfaces were cleaned to remove accumulated soot and debris. The boiler’s accessible vent passages, wiring, and operating components were inspected, and the burner assembly was reinstalled.

The boiler was restarted and checked for proper ignition and operation after cleaning. Any additional repairs or parts needed beyond the cleaning should be noted separately.
