Isolate fixture
Drain pressure off the lines
Remove shower valve trim
Remove shower spindle
Remove hot and cold water seats
Install new shower spindle
Install new hot and cold water seats
Reassemble valve
Test for leaks and proper function
Reinstall shower trim
