Boiler Repair, Install & Replacement near Hopkins Hill Road in Coventry, RI

Evergreen Services was called out to the property for no heat/evaluate existing Oil Fired Boiler that has not ran since house was purchased approximately 2 years ago.
Upon arrival the technician has found existing Peerless Oil Fired Boiler 3-Zones wired to a terminal block in the ceiling.
Zone Valves will not come on with existing wiring.
Installed a Taco ZVC403 to temporarily test zone valves and existing thermostats.
Hallway Zone is wired to board but the other two zones are not.
Service Expert recommends replacement of one existing zone head.
Rewire two thermostats to new Taco Board.
Technician has found the system does not have a Barometric Damper and will need one to operate correctly.
Technician has cycled the equipment and after running for 5 minutes it shut down on no oil.
Oil gauge was stuck at 3/4 of a tank and was not reading correctly.
Repositioned oil gauge and it is now reading empty.
Evergreen Services recommends the following for bare minimum operation of oil boiler to operate safely and efficiently:
- Wire two thermostats and corresponding zone valves to taco board.
- Replace one zone valve that is not opening.
- Oil Boiler Barometric Damper 6” with Smoke Pipe Tee.
- Oil Nozzle
- Oil Strainer
- Oil Filter at Oil Tank with Oil Line Blow Out to remove sludge.
- Oil Boiler Major Cleaning including brushing out boiler, smoke test, and combustion test.
- Dial in Fresh Air to burner and set O2 and C02.
- New 007E Taco Circulator in place of existing.
There is no warranty on the pre existing equipment and the system may require further work at an additional cost that is not included in summary above.
