Site Prep and Dust Containment: Set up floor protection and dust barriers
Mechanical Access: Open necessary, first floor walls and ceilings and selectively remove flooring and sub for as required to access the second floor, sanitary tee servicing the bathroom.
Stack Stabilization: Install heavy duty, riser, clamps, and structural supports on the upper cast-iron stack prior to cutting to prevent pipe movement.
Demolition: safely cut out and remove the existing 4 inch cast-iron drain line from the basement tighten up through the first to the second floor branch connection. Heavy scrap metal removed from site.
New Installation: Supply and install new 4 inch schedule 40 PVC drain stack. New second-floor sanitary tee, clean out tea with plug and heavy duty shielded transition couplings.
Testing and Inspection: Perform a complete water test on all new piping and connections to verify a leak free system.
Terms and scope exclusions
No repairs or restorations: demolition and selective removal of walls and ceiling subfloor tile or finish flooring are performed strictly for mechanical access contractor will not repair patch tape, mud, paint, reframe, or reinstall any drywall subfloor and finish flooring or trim. All structural cosmetic and flooring reinstatement must be completed by a general contractor or floor specialist.
Unforeseen conditions: Quote assume surrounding framing and non-replaced piping are structurally sound any rotted floor joist, electrical rerouting, or hidden structural decay exposed upon opening floors/walls will require a separate written, change order.
