Excavate to the depth required to fully expose the fitting and the horizontal run
2. Demolition and removal:
Cut and remove the existing 4 inch wide fitting
Remove approximately 5 feet of existing cast iron pipe beyond the fitting
Haul away and dispose of all removed cast-iron and concrete debris
3. DWV reconstruction:
Furnish and install a new 4 inch wide fitting and approximately 5 feet of new PVC pipe
Utilize heavy duty shielded transition couplings to connect new piping to existing sound cast-iron
Ensure all new piping maintains proper pitch for drainage
4. Slab restoration:
Backfill the excavated area
Mix and pour new concrete to patch the floor to a smooth finish.
2 year warranty on parts and labor
Exclusions:
This contract covers the opening of the wall for access, but does not include the hanging taping sanding or painting of new drywall
Any repair or replacement of rotted wood wall studs of floor joist discovered during the opening up phase is the responsibility of the owner or licensed carpenter
While we will re-pour the concrete subfloor to a smooth finish the replacement of tile vinyl carpet Highwood over that concrete is excluded
This quote is strictly for the 4 inch wide, and the 5 foot run specified if the existing piping beyond these points is found to be structurally unsound during excavation. A separate change order will be required.
While we take every precaution the repair of any unknown electrical, gas or communication lines buried within the concrete slab is not included
