80-GALLON INDIRECT WATER HEATER REPLACEMENT

Evergreen Services will remove and dispose of the existing indirect-fired water heater and furnish and install one new 80-gallon stainless steel indirect-fired water heater.

- Please Note: Basement is only 5' 6" - 5' 9" Tall so new indirect water heater must be short enough to fit in basement in place of existing with the same 78 gallon capacity.

PLUMBING MODIFICATIONS

Disconnect existing domestic hot and cold water piping, boiler supply and return piping, controls, and associated connections from the existing indirect water heater.

Due to differences between the existing and replacement water heater, the new tank's domestic water, boiler supply/return, aquastat, drain, and other tapping locations may be located on the top and/or sides of the new tank.

Evergreen Services will modify and reconfigure the accessible existing piping as necessary to accommodate the tapping locations of the new 80-gallon indirect water heater.

Reconnect the existing boiler supply and return piping to the new indirect water heater and install new isolation valves, fittings, piping, and necessary accessories as required for proper installation.

Reconnect the domestic cold-water supply and hot-water outlet piping to the new indirect water heater and modify piping as necessary.

Install and/or reconnect the required temperature and pressure relief valve and discharge piping in accordance with applicable plumbing and mechanical codes.

CONTROLS & START-UP

Install and connect the new indirect water heater temperature control/aquastat to the existing boiler control system as applicable.

Fill and purge the domestic and boiler-side piping as necessary, check all newly installed connections for leaks, and start and test the system for proper operation.
