Evergreen Services — Furnace Visual Inspection

Completed a visual inspection of the 80% efficiency gas furnace. Inspected accessible system wiring, electrical connections, and components for loose connections, burned wires, chewed insulation, and visible damage. No visible wiring defects were found in the areas inspected. The furnace was operating acceptably at the time of the inspection.

Due to the age of the furnace, recommend a thorough cleaning and additional operating tests. Proposed service includes cleaning the burners and burner compartment, inspecting and cleaning the flame sensor, checking the ignition assembly, and inspecting accessible heat exchanger surfaces for corrosion, deterioration, or damage. Inspect the blower assembly for buildup and clean as needed. Check the air filter, venting connections, and combustion air openings.

Recommended testing includes checking inlet and manifold gas pressures against the manufacturer’s specifications, performing a combustion analysis, checking for carbon monoxide in the surrounding area and supply air, and verifying safety controls and the heating sequence. These services will help assess combustion performance and identify conditions that may affect reliability or safe operation. Gas pressure, combustion, and carbon monoxide testing are recommended services and were not documented as completed during this visual inspection.
Evergreen Services — Recommended Furnace Deep Cleaning
Model: 395CAV024070, Series F | Natural Gas | 66,000 BTU Input

Due to the age of the furnace, recommend a detailed deep cleaning and performance evaluation. Service includes shutting off electrical power and gas, removing cabinet panels, and clearing accumulated dust and debris from the furnace interior. Remove and clean the burner assembly and burner crossover passages, inspect the ignition assembly, and clean the flame sensor using an appropriate method. Inspect accessible heat exchanger surfaces for corrosion, cracks, soot buildup, or deterioration.

Remove the blower assembly to thoroughly clean the blower wheel and housing while protecting the motor and electrical components. Inspect the motor, wiring, connections, and air filter. Inspect the draft inducer, flue connections, and combustion air openings for buildup, damage, or obstructions. These cleaning and inspection items align with Carrier’s professional maintenance guidance.

After reassembly, check for gas leaks at disturbed connections and measure inlet and manifold gas pressures against manufacturer specifications. Perform combustion analysis and carbon monoxide testing, including ambient and supply-air checks. Verify ignition, burner flame stability, safety controls, blower operation, and supply-to-return temperature rise against the nameplate range of 40–70°F.

Document readings and advise the customer of any needed repairs. This service is recommended to assess combustion, airflow, and operating condition; cleaning alone does not establish heat exchanger integrity or guarantee safe operation.
