Furnace Repair, Install & Replacement in Coventry, RI

Arrived on site for a no-heat complaint. Inspected system wiring and ignition components. Verified 120 VAC supplied to the hot-surface igniter, which failed to glow. Resistance testing showed an open circuit (OL). Recommend replacing the defective igniter. Also recommend deep cleaning and replacement of acid neutralizer media. Deep cleaning includes combustion analysis, gas-pressure testing, and carbon monoxide testing.
Shut off electrical power to the furnace and removed the defective hot-surface igniter. Installed a compatible replacement, secured the mounting bracket, and reconnected wiring, ensuring proper positioning and clearance from the burner assembly. Restored power and initiated a call for heat. Verified proper igniter glow, burner ignition, flame recognition, and operation through a complete heating cycle. System operating properly at completion.
Removed depleted acid neutralizer media and cleaned the neutralizer housing. Installed fresh neutralizer rocks, reconnected condensate piping, and checked for leaks and proper drainage. Replacement media helps neutralize acidic furnace condensate before discharge.
